Another Award Winning Margarita

The results from the 15the Annual Margarita and Salsa Festival are in and just like 2009, we won second place for best margarita.

This year, we made an Italian Margarita, which is available in the recipe section of our website.  It featured Margarita Texas Mix and Cavalino Tequila as the main ingredients.  While we do not get feedback from the judges, everyone that stopped by our booth (some multiple times) enjoyed our creation.

We would like to thank Cavalino for again sponsoring us at the event.  If you want to make your own award winning margarita at home or for a party, you can order our mix from our online store or buy some from locations on this map.  Cavalino is also available at Spec’s in Texas and stores that carry Margarita Texas Mix.

  Suggestion next Margarita and Salsa don’t use the amaretto recipe, several people I talked to tried your mix and said it tasted too much like cough syrup. I even tried it and couldn’t even drink the whole cup.

  Thank you for the feedback! Each year, we try to make a margarita that will appeal to the majority of people as we know different people have varying tastes. We had a huge amount of positive comments including several from participating restaurants and most wanting the recipe. Our line was extremely long with many coming back for more.

  We plan to be back next year and will be using another tasty recipe. With the help of feedback like yours, we can make an even better margarita.
