This drink has potential past the "blue tinted top shelf tequila."
Here's a more balanced and tasty recipe:
Shaken or blended
1.5 oz Tequila of choice, I used Cazadores Reposado
3/4 oz Blue Curacao
3/4 oz Triple Sec
2 tsp lime juice, fresh prefered (substitute lemon juice if need be)
Juice of one half fresh medium sized orange
Shake with ice and strain over crushed ice in a glass rimmed with lime juice and a 50/50 salt/sugar mix. I use kosher or sea salt mixed with turbinado. Another nice taste is to add a couple of pinches of kosher or sea salt into the mix.

I think they just like it with a little kick! You know, like a Back stabber, you get up and wont notice you're drunk unless you get up from your chair! :P
